PTPTN Online Application Submission – 1st until 31st October 2026 (2026/02 – 1st Batch)

Dear Students,

To all Malaysian Students studying Diploma/Degree Programmes, including students who has confirmed to join Nov 2026 intake – please note that the DEADLINE for PTPTN Loan online application submission is 31^st October 2026.

Please click here for the PTPTN Guidelines. Please check with the APU PTPTN Team if you are not sure about the course details during the PTPTN online application. You are required to confirm your course and intake date before applying the PTPTN loan. Please consult with APU PTPTN Team if you are not sure.

** any students who joined previous intake may also apply the PTPTN online application if remaining of study duration is more than 13 months. Loan approval will based on remaining of study duration.

PTPTN Loan Online Briefing Session

Meet APU PTPTN Team LIVE as they will be guiding you throughout the registration process and clarifies some of the important criteria you should take note of.

This briefing is open to all Malaysian students under the Diploma & Degree programmes who are interested to apply for the study loan.

We will be conducting in 4 sessions, and you may join any session depends on your availability. Details for the PTPTN briefing session as below

First Time Loan Application

To obtain the PTPTN Application Offer Letter, students are required to email ptptn@apu.edu.my. Please provide your full name, IC number, and intake code in the email.
After receiving the PTPTN Application Offer Letter, students may proceed to create a CIMB account if they do not have one. Please note that only CIMB accounts can be used for PTPTN loan applications. Progression students who have applied for PTPTN before may continue using their existing CIMB account.
Download and install the myDigital ID mobile app, complete the required details, and complete the eKYC identity verification.
Sign up for myPTPTN (for first-time users) using your myDigital ID. Follow the on-screen instructions until completion. Please ensure your email is verified before logging in to myPTPTN.
Register for an SSPN Prime account with a minimum deposit of RM20. To do so, log in to the myPTPTN web version at https://www.ptptn.gov.my/myptptn/. On the left menu, click:

PERKHIDMATAN > SIMPAN SSPN > PEMBUKAAN AKAUN SSPN PRIME.
- Choose Jenis Akaun: DIRI SENDIRI
- Fill in parent details under WARIS
- Click SETERUSNYA, deposit RM20 using FPX online banking, and download the payment receipt.
  Progression students who have applied for PTPTN before may continue using their existing SSPN account.
Purchase a PTPTN Loan PIN number (RM5). On the left menu, click:

PERKHIDMATAN > PINJAMAN > PENDAFTARAN PERMOHONAN PINJAMAN
- Pay RM5 via FPX online banking
- Download the payment receipt
- Follow the instructions, and you will be redirected to the Online Loan Application Form
Complete the PTPTN Loan Application Form, upload the PTPTN Application Offer Letter, and submit it within the online application timeline.
PTPTN will send a push notification and email for loan pre-approval within 5–7 days after the online application deadline.
Keep APU PTPTN Team posted as soon as student received the PTPTN loan pre-approval. We will guide student for the e-submission of PTPTN loan agreement.

Loan Reapplication (Progression student from Diploma to Degree)

If you are progressing from Diploma to Degree Level 2 and intend to continue receiving the PTPTN loan to support your financial needs, you are required to re-apply for the loan.

Please follow the steps below:

Request PTPTN Application Offer Letter & Update Diploma Loan Status
- Email ptptn@apu.edu.my with the following details:
  - Full Name
  - IC Number
  - Intake Code
- If your Diploma loan status is shown as “DILULUSKAN”, please inform us via email so we can update the status before you proceed with your Degree loan application.
Set up myDigital ID & myPTPTN
- Download and install the myDigital ID mobile app.
- Complete the required details and perform the eKYC identity verification.
- Sign up for myPTPTN (for first-time users) using your myDigital ID.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and ensure your email is verified before logging in.
Login to myPTPTN & Submit Application
- Purchase a new PTPTN PIN number.
- After purchasing the PIN, complete the PTPTN online application form and upload the PTPTN Application Offer Letter.
- Submit the application within the given application timeline.

Important:
You do not need to create a new SSPN Prime account or CIMB savings account. You may continue to use the same accounts registered during your Diploma loan application.

Their project, Eco Raya, combines AI-powered environmental monitoring with bio-filtration to explore smarter and more sustainable ways to improve urban air quality.

Bringing together students from Engineering, Computing, IT and Industrial Design, Eco Raya shows what can happen when different fields come together to tackle real-world challenges.

APU Engineering Student Turns Innovation into Hope

Congratulations to Sharvin Christopher Adrian, on winning 1st Place (Washington Accord) at the inaugural BEM Young Engineering Innovation Trophy 2026! 🥳🏆

Out of more than 500 submissions nationwide, Sharvin’s winning project uses AI and real-time ECG monitoring to detect heart rhythm abnormalities, with the aim of making heart monitoring more accessible. 🙌

His achievement shows how engineering, technology and a genuine concern for people can come together to create meaningful solutions. ❤️

We’re proud to see Sharvin represent APU on the national stage and turn his ideas into innovation that could make a difference.

Their Web3 solution uses smart contracts to enable secure, decentralised payments for AI-agent transactions, handling payments, deadlines and refunds without intermediaries.

With over 100 registered participants from around the world, this achievement highlights our students’ technical capabilities, innovative thinking and ability to turn ideas into working solutions.

APU Students Put Investment Skills to the Test on the Global Stage

🥈 Tan Wen Jie – 2nd Place, Individual – Single Most Profitable Trade (65.52% return)
🥉 Leonardo Juwana – 3rd Place, Individual – Lowest Max Drawdown (1.74%)

APU also secured strong institutional results, including 2nd Place for Lowest Max Drawdown and 3^rd Place for the Maximum Number of Trades per Qualified Student.

APU Students Step into a Global learning Experience at DMU Leicester

Our APU dual degree students headed to DMU Leicester for Summer School 2026, spending the programme exploring new ideas, building skills and experiencing university life in the UK. 😍🇬🇧

They explored AI, sustainability and creative problem-solving, worked on collaborative projects with students from different backgrounds, and gained insights into crime scene investigation, TV production and employability. 🤩🫶

The learning continued outside the classroom too, with visits to Canopy and Curve Theatre, a trip to London, and of course, a little Harry Potter magic at Warner Bros. Studio. 🪄

A few weeks, plenty of new experiences and memories to take home. ✨

From Final-Year Project to International Recognition: AquaRov AI Advances Underwater Innovation

Our Mechatronic Engineering student Gan Xian Ern has earned a Silver Medal at IIICe 2026 for AquaRov AI, an intelligent underwater robot developed for pipeline inspection and real-time water quality monitoring.

Combining robotics, sensing technology and AI, the prototype has reached an estimated TRL 6–7, demonstrating its potential for real-world infrastructure and environmental applications.

Congratulations, Xian Ern, and her supervisor Ir Ts Dr Reena Sri Selvarajan, on this achievement! 👏
