APU is pleased to formalise a new partnership with WIT Malaysia to create more opportunities for women to learn, connect and grow in the tech industry. 🤝

Through digital skills training, cybersecurity workshops, internships and mentorship programmes, the collaboration will support students in gaining practical experience and building stronger pathways into the digital economy. 🌱

The partnership also contributes to SDG 4, SDG 5, SDG 8, SDG 9 and SDG 17, reflecting our shared commitment to education, inclusion and meaningful industry collaboration.

APU’s Eco Raya Wins Best Creativity Award at Southeast Asia AI Design Finals

Congratulations to our interdisciplinary student team for winning Best Creativity at the Southeast Asia Regional Finals of GCD4F 2026! 🥳🙌

Their project, Eco Raya, combines AI-powered environmental monitoring with bio-filtration to explore smarter and more sustainable ways to improve urban air quality.

Bringing together students from Engineering, Computing, IT and Industrial Design, Eco Raya shows what can happen when different fields come together to tackle real-world challenges.

APU Engineering Student Turns Innovation into Hope

Congratulations to Sharvin Christopher Adrian, on winning 1st Place (Washington Accord) at the inaugural BEM Young Engineering Innovation Trophy 2026! 🥳🏆

Out of more than 500 submissions nationwide, Sharvin’s winning project uses AI and real-time ECG monitoring to detect heart rhythm abnormalities, with the aim of making heart monitoring more accessible. 🙌

His achievement shows how engineering, technology and a genuine concern for people can come together to create meaningful solutions. ❤️

We’re proud to see Sharvin represent APU on the national stage and turn his ideas into innovation that could make a difference.

We’re pleased to formalise our long-standing collaboration with Toon Boom Animation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), strengthening our commitment to industry-relevant animation education. 🤩🤝

As Malaysia’s first Toon Boom Centre of Excellence, our Animation students have access to professional tools such as Toon Boom Harmony and Storyboard Pro from their first semester.

Through this renewed partnership, we look forward to creating more opportunities for our students and academics to connect with industry practices, develop their skills and prepare for careers in the creative industry. 🎨

APU students Chan Hao Wen and Tong Yi Xin have emerged as international champions at the Build Week Hackathon 2026! 😍🙌

💰 USD 150 cash prize
💻 Winning project: Agent Escrow

Their Web3 solution uses smart contracts to enable secure, decentralised payments for AI-agent transactions, handling payments, deadlines and refunds without intermediaries.

With over 100 registered participants from around the world, this achievement highlights our students’ technical capabilities, innovative thinking and ability to turn ideas into working solutions.

APU Students Put Investment Skills to the Test on the Global Stage

Congratulations to our Accounting and Finance students, Tan Wen Jie and Leonardo Juwana, on their outstanding achievements at the CMT Investment Challenge – Spring 2026! 🏆

🥈 Tan Wen Jie – 2nd Place, Individual – Single Most Profitable Trade (65.52% return)
🥉 Leonardo Juwana – 3rd Place, Individual – Lowest Max Drawdown (1.74%)

APU also secured strong institutional results, including 2nd Place for Lowest Max Drawdown and 3^rd Place for the Maximum Number of Trades per Qualified Student.
